6 Minutes Wrestling with life

Genre : Motivational , Inspiring , Memoir , Life

Author : John A Passaro

Book Review

Okaaay , so this book’s pretty cool.

This book follows the trials and tribulations of a family . The way they triumph and chronicles their journey .

It reminds us of how life can be turned awry without the slightest of warnings , the frailities of life and the unending will to battle against all odds .

It exhorts us to do what we want to now , and as the blurb/synopsis states , takes you on a ride and makes you smile and cry .

So what’re ya waitin’ for ?

The little quotes at the top were pretty sweet too .

Rating : 4/5

(I received a digital copy of the book from the author (who found me through IndieView) in return for an honest review )

Once in a while, you come across a book.

A book that gives you goosebumps.

A book that you cherish beyond measure.

A book that’s different from the rest.

Something that puts your indifference to the test.

That leaves you spell bound.

That’s Words of Radiance  by Brandon Sanderson and Lord of the Rings by J. R. R Tolkien.

What are your soulful books?

Please lemme know below :’)

Inevitable Ascension

Genre: Suspense , Adventure , Fiction , Action

The innocent never waver from doing what’s right, even if it means drowning the world in fire.

Violina had been burned and betrayed by mankind ever since she sprang into existence. They named her a heretic and condemned her to a pit to live and die in agony. Though she sat stranded, starved and bloodied, she would not submit. Violina, the girl who had been mocked and hunted for rejecting the warped ideals of artificial authority, would lay down her own law.

Inevitable Ascension — The rapid-fire action/adventure novel packed with a host of twists that will make your mind explode! But not literally, otherwise that would be really gross

Skysail – The Apotheosis Break

Genre : Adventure , Action , Fiction

The life of an airshipman is violent and short, but every sailor still breathing in the clouds has a tale of Anton Mikhailovich.

Vasili, his fourteen year old son, never knew the man. The swashbuckling captain died mysteriously when the boy was five, leaving only tall tales and long shadows. His father’s remembrance ever looming, Vasili wants to leave his tiny frontier village and become a skysailing legend of his own accord.

A charismatic traveler arrives on an airship, a bishop with robes as worn as his smile. He comes to convey a funerary Telling of Anton some nine years overdue. Late but still timely, the traveler hints that his vessel may be looking for a new deckhand. He could put in a good word for the son of Anton.

The twinkling lights of home disappear over the horizon and the boy begins his own adventure, starting his own tale as he learns the truth of his father’s.

But the world and its skies are nothing like Vasili’s books. The serendipitous airship is the famed Apotheosis Break, Anton’s old ship, filled with beguiling shard hunters now at the end of their rope. They have already lost good men looking for Vasili. They may still lose everything seeking the forgotten legacy of Captain Mikhailovich.

Vasili will learn that the memories you try to escape are the ones you will always carry with you. And if half of what his crew says is true, his father’s story was one of loss, betrayal, and madness. If Vasili is to survive in the skies he will have to be as clever as his father and twice as lucky. Otherwise a traveler will return home with a Telling of another Mikhailovich boy

Okay , first off I love detective novels .

So I was really looking forward to this one , no kidding . The backdrop was nice . The setting was cool too . And the names got me intrigued from the first , haha . Phuk and Shanks eh ? Lets jump right in .

It was a lil hard to get into at the beginning (I wasn’t a huge fan of the writing style)  but ultimately , it was an overall pretty nice read 🙂

Some parts weren’t that perfectly executed I  felt but that being said, A few moments had me going

And that’s pretty cool imo 😉 . So the author does a pretty good job for his debut  !
